ForkSLAP is a web application that logs users' weight, and caloric intake, and provides caloric targets that facilitate a sustainable caloric deficit to help them on their weight loss journeys. It also provides many simple and easy ways to log caloric intake to make the experience as simple as possible.

I believe that fat loss is simple: maintain a negative energy balance long enough to lose fat mass.
That's really it. Every popularized diet, at its core, works through the above. They may have proprietary points systems, eating windows, food restrictions, and etc, but at their core they're all hoping to get you to eat less than your body needs in order to lose fat.
ForkSLAP works on this principle alone, and provides caloric targets to enable fat loss, and protein targets to sustain lean body mass.
Technology
We've reached the point where technology has become more of an inconvenience than something that serves us.
The core mission of ForkSLAP is build a tool that's only purpose is helping users reach their fat loss goals, and saying "no" to features that do not directly contribute to that mission - leaving a lean, results-first application.
I have tried my best to make every single point of interaction in this application as simple as possible, and do it all in as few steps as possible. I believe that when a user is familiar with the app it shouldn't be open for more than 2 minutes per day.
